Born 1916, Transylvania. Studies: 1933-35 Nancy, France, medicine; also attended Beaux Arts Faculty; left medicine and studied with artist, Macalik, Romania; 1939 advanced studies with Hungarian painter, Adolf Fenyus. Prize: Nordau Prize of World Hungarian Jewry. In World War II was forced labourer in concentration camp. 1950-58 Headed artists' group and later was chosen to head local branch of Romanian Artists' Association. Solo Exhibitions include: 1963-65, 1967, 1975, 1980, 1983 Tel Aviv; 1967 Montreal; 1968, 1969 New York; 1969 Toronto; 1970 Haifa; 1971 Los Angeles; 1972 Herzlia Museum; 1973 Dusseldorf; 1974 Antwerp; 1976 Beersheba; Yad Lebanim; Petah Tikvah. Permanent Exhibition: Artists' Centre, Safed. Lives in Tel Aviv.
