Born 1951 in Ivanovo, Russia. Lives and works in Puchezh Region. Graduate of Ivanovo Art School, Shichkov knew from childhood that he was to become an artist. He has exhibited widely in solo and group shows throughout Russia and Europe including in London, Prague and Moscow and his works are held at the Museum at Puchezh.
